Chipton-Ross is seeking 30 A&P Mechanic D's for a contract opportunity in Victorville, CA.
100% onsite
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Regular and predictable attendance is required.
o AP Mechanic Certification required.
o Total Knowledge of the Airplane.
o 7+ years of experience.
o Min H. S Diploma or equivalent.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
787 and 777 Aircraft modifications
o Project they will be working on: 787 and 777 Aircraft modifications
o Operating any machinery: Scissor lift, Boom lift
o Type of background: 5+ years
o May be asked to assist with the 787 Storage Program when we are slow or they need help. This might require some additional training.
A&P MECHANIC
o Perform Service Bulletin installations and functional checks relating to aircraft mechanical systems. Perform system troubleshooting and maintenance tasks issued by Client or the customer. Maintain a clean and FOD free work area.
o A&P certification required.
o Proficient flight deck operations all Client models.
o Proficient troubleshooting a/c systems.
o Proficient software loading.
o Meets RS requirements.
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT and/or formal classroom training.
Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

o Avionics
o Structures
o Interior
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires being on their feet for long periods of time, climbing ladders, fitting in confined spaces -35 lbs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+5 years' related work, Bachelor+2 years' related work, etc.).
WORK HOURS:
MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st or 2nd SHIFT.

ADDITIONAL:
This work assignment has been designated as "safety sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory preplacement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
OT/DOT: YES - possibly up to 20 hours of OT expected including weekends.
