Position Summary:

The Assistant Construction Dispatcher is responsible for obtaining required information from the Superintendents for the daily work schedules including labor and equipment needs, rental trucks and equipment, small tools, construction materials (i.e. barrier wall, forms, etc.) start times and low-bed.

Responsibilities: 

  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. 

  • Collect and distribute daily work schedules for each project. 

  • Schedule equipment moves in line with job schedule needs. 

  • Communicate with Construction Operations Manager labor and equipment needs and changes daily. 

  • Contact and set up owner/operator rental trucks as required. 

  • Keep files for insurance certificates. 

  • Coordinate labor and equipment needs on daily basis. 

  • Maintain Home phone list. 

  • Timesheets. 

  • Vacation Calendar. 

  • Purchase orders. 

  • Receiving trucking slips. 

  • Trucking and rental Invoices. 

  • Coordinate deliveries to/from construction yard/projects. 

  • Maintain inventory in the construction yard. 

  • Maintain communication list for NE/SE Construction and job list. 

  • Maintain directions to construction sites.

Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Team player and with good interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to manage a team in an efficient and effective manner.
