Position Title: Clinician Unit Counselor
Location: Lake City, FL
Pay Rate: $25.49/hour

Qualified supervision toward state licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LMHC) is provided by Meridian.

About the Role

As a Clinician Unit Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting clients on their journey toward recovery and stability by delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a welcoming, supportive, and therapeutic relationship with clients and their families
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate care in the least restrictive environment
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and coping strategies
  • Coordinate and/or conduct follow-up appointments after discharge
  • Deliver care based on individualized treatment plans, ongoing assessments, and client progress

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Experience in an inpatient setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of the Florida Mental Health Act (Baker Act) preferred
  • Strong documentation and computer skills
  • Ability to type at least 27 WPM and score 65% or higher on the general prescreen assessment
