Job Title: Director of Operations – Post Acute Provider Services

Job Type: Full Time Monday through Friday - on call for urgent matters after hours

Location: Hybrid in Georgia - with travel required

Position Overview

This is a high accountability, field facing operations role focused on managing providers, facilities, and market performance.

The Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring full provider coverage across assigned facilities, maintaining strong relationships with facility administrators, and holding providers accountable to productivity and documentation expectations.

This is not a back office or administrative role. This position requires daily interaction with providers and facility leadership, ownership of scheduling and staffing gaps, and direct management of provider performance within a post-acute or skilled nursing environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provider Management, Coverage, and Scheduling
  • Own provider coverage across all assigned facilities, including daily scheduling, call coverage, and gap resolution
  • Conduct provider interviews and support hiring decisions in partnership with Talent Acquisition
  • Manage provider schedules to ensure full coverage and alignment with census and facility needs
  • Hold providers accountable to productivity expectations, including encounter volume and timeliness of documentation
  • Address performance concerns directly with providers and partner with leadership on corrective action when needed

Facility Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility administrators across your market
  • Build and maintain strong, consistent relationships with SNF leadership to ensure contract retention and satisfaction
  • Conduct regular facility check ins to address concerns, resolve issues, and proactively improve service delivery
  • Support onboarding of new providers within facilities to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care

Market Operations and Performance

  • Own the operational performance of your market, including provider productivity, coverage stability, and facility satisfaction
  • Partner with Regional and Executive Leadership to execute staffing plans, market expansion, and operational initiatives
  • Monitor daily operations and proactively address gaps in coverage, scheduling, or provider performance
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, documentation standards, and healthcare regulations

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare operations experience with direct involvement in provider management and scheduling
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working within a skilled nursing facility or post-acute environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing provider coverage, including scheduling across multiple locations
  • Experience working directly with physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants in a performance driven environment
  • Proven ability to manage facility relationships and serve as a primary contact for administrators
  • Strong experience addressing provider performance, productivity expectations, and operational issues
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, high accountability environment with daily operational demands
  • Ability to travel between facilities within the assigned market
  • Valid driver’s license required
