About the Role

Southwest HeliServices is seeking an experienced helicopter pilot with proven long line experience to join our team based out of Mesa, AZ. This role combines high-skill utility flying with a strong customer-facing component — you’ll be the face of our operation as much as the hands on the controls. We’re looking for a pilot who flies with precision and represents the company with professionalism on every job site.

What You’ll Do

Perform precision long-line operations (external load work) for construction, utility,
and/or specialty lift missions
Conduct thorough pre-flight planning, load calculations, and risk assessments for
each mission
Communicate directly and confidently with clients, ground crews, and site
supervisors
Maintain aircraft airworthiness documentation and coordinate with maintenance
Uphold company safety culture and FAA Part 133 (external load) / Part 135
compliance as applicable
Represent Southwest HeliServices professionally in all customer interactions

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Commercial Helicopter Pilot Certificate with instrument rating
Minimum 2,500 total flight hours
Documented long line / external load experience required — precision longline
or Human External Cargo (HEC) experience strongly preferred
Turbine time preferred (specify aircraft type Bell 206/407)
Clean FAA record, current medical certificate (Class 2 minimum)
Strong verbal communication skills and a customer-service mindset — this pilot will interact directly with clients, not just fly missions Based in or willing to relocate to the Phoenix Metro, AZ area is preferred.
