Job Description

The Twenty Two is a luxury lifestyle hotel based in London. Our newest property, set within the former Margaret Louisa Home in New York City’s Union Square, offers an all-day public restaurant and a private members’ club.

We are looking for a   Housekeeping Manager   to join our team NYC team. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail oriented, have strong leadership skills, and have a passion for hospitality. If you are warm, eager, and dedicated, we would love to meet you!

Overview:

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas at The Twenty Two. The Housekeeping Manager leads and supports a team of supervisors, room attendants, housepersons, and laundry staff while upholding brand standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.

General Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day housekeeping operations across guest rooms, suites, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure luxury service standards are consistently met.
  • Use UniFocus to manage daily task assignments, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Adjust room assignments and shift priorities in UniFocus based on occupancy, staff availability, and evolving service needs.
  • Conduct routine room inspections and cleanliness audits; document findings, coach staff, and follow up to ensure corrective action.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of room attendants, housepersons, and laundry attendants, and to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Oversee daily room status updates, ensuring prompt turnover and seamless communication with the Front Office and Engineering teams.
  • Ensure accurate delivery of turndown service and daily refreshes in accordance with hotel protocols and guest preferences.
  • Coordinate deep-cleaning projects, preventive maintenance access, and special requests with Engineering and other departments.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and complaints related to housekeeping service with urgency, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Support the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of housekeeping team members, reinforcing hotel standards, safety protocols, and service expectations.
