Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaping person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscape maintenance and a strong understanding of lawn care practices. This role involves working outdoors, utilizing various tools and equipment to ensure the health and aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties.

Duties

  • Managing all landscaping projects, including design, installation, and maintenance
  • Manage and supervise the planting and pruning of all plant materials
  • Planting of new shrubs, trees, perennials and flowers
  • Weeding and mulching landscape beds
  • Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs
  • Care for established lawns by aerating, removing thatch or trimming and edging around flower beds, etc.
  • Complete Spring and Fall Clean-ups
  • Install pavers, patios, walkways, retaining walls or other hardscaping
  • Proper Installation of sod and grass seed
  • Oversee the scheduling of work routes to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely manner
  • Monitor the condition of lawns and landscapes, identifying any issues related to pests or diseases.
  • Perform regular lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and trimming to maintain healthy lawns as needed
  • Utilize a variety of lawn and landscaping power equipment and hand tools.
  • Supervise a crew of 3-4 members

Experience

  • Pesticide Application License – is a huge plus but not required
  • Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred.
  • Prior commercial landscape experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for transportation to job sites.
  • Safely operate trucks, trailers, and dump trucks
  • Able to safely operate machinery (as instructed)
  • Physical Stamina and the ability to work outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions.
  • Able to sit, stand, kneel and lift/move 50+ lbs. repeatedly with no physical limitations or restrictions.
  • Must have strong communication and time management skills
  • Valid Driver's License and Good Driving Record is Mandatory

Hours: Monday – Friday & weekend hours may be required as needed

· Expected work hours: 35-40+ hours per week
