Job Description

About Ripple Junction

Ripple Junction is a pop culture apparel and design company based in West Chester, Ohio. We design and sell licensed apparel featuring some of the world's most iconic entertainment brands from music and film to gaming and television. We are a creative, fast-moving team who take our work seriously and have a lot of fun doing it.

The Role

Our Licensing Approvals team is responsible for working directly with licensors, major entertainment brands, to get product artwork approved before it goes into production. It is detail-oriented, communication-heavy work that sits at the intersection of creative, operations, and relationship management.

As our Licensing Approvals Summer Intern, you will work alongside our Licensing Approvals Coordinator and Manager to support the approvals process, learn how the licensed apparel industry works from the inside, and gain hands-on experience in a role that touches nearly every part of our business.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with submitting artwork and product designs to licensors for approval through their respective portals and systems
  • Track and manage the status of open approvals, following up with licensors and internal teams to keep things moving
  • Communicate with licensor contacts via email, professionally, clearly, and on behalf of the Ripple Junction brand
  • Support the team in maintaining organized records of approvals, rejections, revisions, and timelines
  • Coordinate with the Design, Pre-Production, and Sales teams to ensure artwork is ready and accurate before submission
  • Help identify and flag potential issues with artwork compliance, licensing restrictions, or approval timelines
  • Learn and navigate licensor portals, internal tracking systems, and cross-functional workflows

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Communications, or a related field
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This role requires professional, persuasive correspondence
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Genuine enthusiasm for pop culture, music, film, gaming, TV, this knowledge is directly relevant to the work
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams); experience with project tracking tools a plus
  • A proactive, curious attitude, you ask questions, take initiative, and follow through

What You'll Get Out of It

  • Paid internship, 30–40 hours per week
  • Hands-on experience in the licensed apparel industry, a niche and growing field
  • Direct mentorship from an experienced Licensing Approvals team
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration across Design, Sales, Operations, and external licensor partners
  • A real resume line, not coffee runs and calendar invites. You will do meaningful work here.
  • Real potential to grow beyond the summer. We are actively looking for someone who wants to stay and build with us

Availability & Schedule

This role requires 30–40 hours per week with availability anytime between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Exact scheduling will be determined with your manager based on team needs.

Duration

While the initial engagement is for Summer 2026, we are looking for someone who is genuinely open to continuing in this role beyond the summer months. Strong performers will be considered for an extended or permanent position as business needs develop. Please only apply if continued availability after the summer is something you can realistically commit to.

Timeline

  • Start Date: Late May or Early June 2026
  • Duration: Summer 2026 and beyond based on performance and availability
  • Location: In-office, West Chester, Ohio
