Job Description

Who You Are:

You are a proactive and collaborative construction professional with 3 to 6 years of experience in retail construction or store development. You communicate clearly, adapt quickly to change, and are eager to take ownership of projects while learning from senior leaders. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated to deliver high-quality results as part of a dynamic team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee all phases of retail and outlet store construction projects, from schematic design through final completion, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Review construction drawings and collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure alignment with company standards and project goals.
  • Evaluate landlord criteria and lease construction requirements, communicating key details to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules and construction estimates based on design development drawings.
  • Coordinate preconstruction activities, including permits, utility setup, and project communications.
  • Support the bid process: review proposals, assist with negotiations, and ensure all bids meet budget and quality expectations.
  • Track project costs, review and approve invoices, and maintain accurate project accounting records.
  • Work closely with Retail Operations and IT to ensure all operational needs (registers, security, etc.) are addressed before store turnover.
  • Manage construction progress, monitor quality, and ensure timely completion of punchlists and turnover activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, designers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure owner-furnished materials are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
  • Maintain organized project files (digital and hardcopy) and ensure all financial closeout documents are complete.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and support the development of junior team members as appropriate.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in retail construction, store planning, or a similar environment.
  • Experience supporting or managing multiple projects with aggressive timelines.
  • Familiarity with real estate expansion programs is a plus.

We’d Love to See:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide value engineering input during design phases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management software (e.g., Procore).
  • Initiative and ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Capri Perks:

  • Summer Fridays
  • Internal Mobility Across Brands
  • Cross-brand Discount
  • Exclusive Employee Sales
  • Fav 5 Cards (MK Discount for friends and family)
  • 401k Match
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Thrive Wellness Program
  • Commuter Benefits
