ROLE: Staff Accountant

LOCATION: North Hollywood

WORK STATUS: Direct Hire

WORK SITE STATUS: Onsite

PAY RANGE: $75,000/year to $85,000/year.

CV Resources, in partnership with our manufacturing client, seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to perform General Ledger (G/L) and high-volume AP. This role is heavily focused on journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, and various other G/L accounting duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT

General Ledger (G/L) Accounting

• Prepare journal entries.
• Perform daily cash applications.
• Reconcile cash and bank accounts.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Ensure Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable balances are fully reconciled at month-end.
• Prepare billing, collections, AR, and AP reports as part of the month-end close process.
• Work on multiple entities.

Accounts Receivable Accounting

• Work with the A/R Department
• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices.
• Monitor and resolve billing inquiries, change orders, and service tickets.
• Actively manage the Accounts Receivable process to achieve DSO (Days Sales

Accounts Payable Accounting

• Work with the A/P Department
• Ensure proper vendor setup.
• Manage weekly Accounts Payable payments.
• Manage corporate credit card expenses.

Tax

• Prepare sales and use tax reports.

Miscellaneous

• Accept all relevant tasks as given by upper management.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable major.
• At least two (2) years of G/L accounting experience.
• ITAR requirement.

Preferred

• Public Accounting Firm tenure

SKILLS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Required

Technical

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, INDEX, SUMIFs).
