The College is seeking part-time tutors who are passionate about supporting the academic success of students enrolled at CT State CC. The Part-Time Tutor provides academic support, assists with coursework, strengthens foundational skills, and fosters academic confidence and persistence. Tutors collaborate with faculty and program staff to promote student success in a structured and supportive learning environment.
In the Academic Center of Excellence (ACE), the Tutor provides tutorial services to students, one on one or in small groups at a Community College. Incumbents provide this support in a specific learning unit or center such as science, technology, language arts or business administration. The tutor may also be involved in the setup, maintenance and operation of labs.Under the direction of the Director of the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) the Tutor is accountable for providing assistance to faculty and students in assigned academic areas through effective performance in these essential functional areas:

Associate degree in the assigned academic field or a closely related field with one (1) or more years of related teaching and/or tutoring experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training which would lead to the competencies required to carry out the position’s essential duties.
