Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Urbandale, IA 50322 Duration: Contract For 1 + years

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-6 years of software development experience with at least one programming language such as: Java (preferred) Go Scala Python
• Strong hands-on experience with: Kubernetes/EKS AWS Cloud Services OpenTelemetry Terraform
• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), observability, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
• 3+ years of experience deploying, managing, and supporting Kubernetes/EKS clusters.
• 3+ years of experience hosting and operating applications in AWS environments.
• Experience building automation and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain platform capabilities that enable product teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
• Implement and support observability and tracing solutions using OpenTelemetry.
• Collaborate with engineering teams through paired programming and technical mentorship.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive reliability improvements across systems.
• Coordinate with multiple teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Datadog and/or Grafana.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and platform engineering practices.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices.
